A three-storey former granary warehouse building will be internally adapted and externally restored to create a public library with meeting, podcast and maker spaces providing a range of community focussed and inclusive facilities. Conservation principles will be applied to upgrade the Protected Structure reinstating breathable external walls, timber windows and natural slate roofs while integrating technologies required for contemporary library use and operation.
